CAMPAIGN LENGTH
How Long Is Shadow Dungeon? — Story & Endgame Time
Shadow Dungeon takes about 30–50 hours for its 160-stage main story, ending near level 99–100. See what changes when Greater Rifts unlock.
The short answer: 30–50 hours for the story
OO Cat's 1.0 Complete Official Version announcement estimates roughly 30–50 hours for Shadow Dungeon's 160-stage main story. The same announcement says progression was tuned so a normal campaign run ends around character level 99–100, without requiring a separate pre-endgame leveling grind.
That range is the developer's campaign estimate, not a guaranteed personal timer. Your class, time spent reading affixes, optional farming and build experimentation can move the result within or beyond it.
What the estimate includes
The estimate covers the main-story route through all 160 stages. It includes the normal clear-loot-rebuild loop, but it should not be read as a completionist estimate for every class, every armor set or every rift reward.
- Main story: 160 stages.
- Expected finish: character level 99–100.
- No official speedrun or completionist estimate has been published.
How much time does endgame add?
After the story, Greater Rifts unlock on Normal, Master, Nightmare and Inferno. Their purpose is repeatable build improvement: stronger rare-item odds, more weapon-affix opportunities and rift-exclusive runes and materials. Because you choose how many classes and builds to develop, there is no fixed endgame completion time in the official material.
For a buying decision, use 30–50 hours as the documented campaign floor and treat rift play as optional, open-ended time. For a first-run plan, expect the story to teach the systems and the rifts to test the finished build.
